TWO BEARS TO MAUL ISRAEL
As Elisha departed the mountain after having received Elijah’s mantle, he encountered prophets seeking Elijah and trouble with some children.
Paraphrasing from 2 Kings 2:15-22, prophets from Elijah’s school of prophets met Elisha. They were seeking Elijah because they lacked insight into what was about to happen to Israel in Elisha’s time.
2Ki 2:15 And when the sons of the prophets across in Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah rests upon Elisha! And they came to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.
Elijah is the prophet before the time of trouble. He calls people to repentance before the Tribulation. Elisha is the prophet during the time of trouble. He calls people to repentance during the Tribulation. Like Elijah, he also curses the House of Israel.
The prophets couldn’t believe that Elijah was gone and wanted to go search for him. That’s what we are experiencing now because people have not realized that Elijah has left the earth and now the Tribulation begins (2 Kings 2:16-18).
2Ki 2:19 And the men of the city said to Elisha, Behold, please, the location of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees. But the waters are bad, and the ground is barren.
Yes, the city (Babylon) has a most pleasant location. Life is good in America! It is good in Europe, in Australia, New Zealand and all throughout the West but there is trouble: Bad water and barren ground. But there is hope!
2Ki 2:20 And he said, Bring me a new jar and put salt in it. And they brought to him.
2Ki 2:21 And he went forth to the spring of the waters and threw the salt in there, and said, So says Jehovah, I have healed these waters. There shall not be any more death or barrenness from there.
2Ki 2:22 And the waters were healed to this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spoke.
Remembering that Elisha is the Tribulation prophet, let’s see how he fixed this situation. He used salt (as in the Salt Covenant) to heal the barrenness (the lack of spiritual insight caused by disobedience to YHVH). This prophetically speaks to the now scattered House of Israel. Both Elijah and Elisha were from the northern tribes and were prophets to the House of Israel.
Just as in their time, the people of the globally scattered House of Israel do not see and understand. There will come a time when the water will be contaminated (both physically and spiritually) and their lands will be barren (both physically and spiritually) but they will be powerless to do anything about it. Nothing will change their plight until they ask for healing. The asking will come during the end times era of Elisha, during the time of trouble. YHVH said He will heal His people during Elisha’s time.
Another description of the time of trouble is found in the next 3 verses of 2 Kings 2. These descriptions are not chronological. They are pictures of the conditions to be suffered by the globally scattered House of Israel.
2Ki 2:23 And he went up from there to Bethel. And he was going up in the highway. And little boys came out from the city and mocked him, and said to him, Go up, bald head! Go up, bald head!
2Ki 2:24 And he turned behind him and saw them, and declared them vile in the name of Jehovah. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two boys of them.
2Ki 2:25 And he went from there to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.
Mockery is at the core of the House of Israel’s coming troubles. I recently posted these scriptures in Telegram and was answered by someone saying “baldy” described Vladimir Putin. Yes, it does!
Some “little boys”, some spiritually immature children of YHVH who think they have a handle on the word and the world, decided to provoke “baldy”. Putin has been provoked by the West for too long and because those kids were so arrogant, Elisha (the time of trouble) put a curse on them. Forty two little brats were mauled.
The number 42 is usually associated with the Tribulation. Read this prophecy as YHVH’s children being mauled by two bears for 42 months!
The two bears are Iran (Daniel 7:5) and Russia (who is an ally of Iran from many centuries back and which also has a population of Persian descendants) whose national symbol is the bear. I have written over many years that Iran (ancient Persian remnant) and Russia share a lot of affinity, friendship and DNA. Iran and Russia are the two bears in this prophecy and these will rise up against the Western Ephraimites in the end of days.
Is the 42 months starting now or is this attack on Ukraine just a precursor to the 42 months yet to come? We will have to wait and see. It is important to understand, though, the bears have been provoked long and hard enough that they are now retaliating.
Don’t think the House of Judah will escape the troubles. The House of Judah will not only be in the thick of it but will also be a cause for the globally scattered 12 tribes of Israel to receive their final punishment before YHVH reunites them.
GOG FROM THE LAND OF MAGOG
I have written a lot about Gog since 2012. The Gog family originated in ancient Israel. Gog was a descendant of Reuben (1 Chronicles 5:4). 1 Chronicles 5 lists the important families which had gone into Assyrian exile (1 Chronicles 5:26). What this chapter does not explain is that Gog did not go into exile with Reuben, Gad and Manasseh. He fled as the spirits of Kings Pul and Tilgath-pilneser were stirred up by YHVH against the House of Israel.
It is taught with too much simplicity that the House of Israel’s final captivity was in 722BC. 722-721BC were the final 2 years. The captivities began in 734BC. The years from 740 to 734BC are to be understood for the time when Gog migrated his family out of Israel as he tried to escape punishment from YHVH.
Two behaviors are not allowed by YHVH. The first is leaving your brethren behind to be destroyed. That is a big no-no. Gog’s departure signaled a calloused hard and selfish heart toward the rest of his Israelite brethren. We are not to run like cowards leaving our brethren behind!
The second misbehavior was refusing to accept the national consequences of sin against YHVH. It may take 2700 years, but YHVH will punish every Israelite down to the last one even if his name is Gog!

The green line from Israel to the southern part of the Black Sea is where Gog went.
The Assyrians began invading the eastern side of the Jordan in 740BC and the tribes which were on that side of the river were the first to go [in 734BC] which were Reuben, Gad and the half [tribe] of Mannaseh. They also penetrated into the other side of the Galilee and took most of the tribe of Naphtali and Issachar. These tribes of the House of Israel were all placed on the east side of Assyria’s kingdom, south of the Caspian sea in what today is northern Iraq and Kurdistan.
[However], at this time, seeing the impending threat from Assyria, many of the Israelites (a large number of the population) migrated north by land toward the Black Sea which was west of Assyria’s territory. These became known as Scythians by some nations, or Cimmerians by others. The Jewish Universal Encyclopedia records that the first migration of Israelites into the Trans-Caucasus region was in the 7th century BC. This is also recorded by the Georgians themselves who claim that they were taken by Shalmenezer of Assyria in 726-722BC (Jewish Encyclopedia).
The northern migration was probably not only Gog but YHVH prophesies to take action against Gog. I believe this is because Gog represents more than just the descendants of Gog in the end of days. The other tribes are now totally mixed in with Gog. This means that Gog represents the whole House of Israel by the time of the end.
Gog never shows up again in scripture again, however, he is believed to have become the King of Lydia by many historians where he reigned from 680-644BC.
Gog had migrated to the south side of the Black Sea and became King of Meshech and Tubal there, the names listed in the table of nations in Genesis 10. It was called Lydia in Ezekiel’s time when he was prophesying. King Gog/Gyges/Guges was King over Lydia.
Shortly thereafter, another war broke out between Babylon and Assyria. This brought another dispersion of the 10 tribes along with people native to Assyria. These 2 groups migrated to the east and north of the Black Sea. They assimilated into the Scythians who later became known as Scandinavians. Part of that territory is Ukraine today.
Here is from Britannica Encyclopedia: Scythian, also called Scyth, Saka, and Sacae, member of a nomadic people, originally of Iranian stock, known from as early as the 9th century bce who migrated westward from Central Asia to southern Russia and Ukraine in the 8th and 7th centuries bce.
The Scythians may have originated out of Aryan stock but it wasn’t long before they were joined by the exiled Israelites. The reason we know this is because the names Scyth, Saka and Sacae are all different versions of “Saxon”. What is Saxon? A diminutive for “Isaac’s sons”.
How can that be when Isaac was called Yitzhak in Hebrew? The people did not speak English, right? Right. The diminutive of Yitzhak is “Tzhaka” from which derives “Tzhak” or Scyth, Tzhaka or Saka and Sacae and later on as the languages changed, Saxon.
Ezekiel prophesied the return of Gog to Israel in the latter days as an army coming saying it wants to guard Israel (Ezekiel 38:7) but, in actuality, he has an ulterior motive (Ezekiel 38:12-13).
YHVH told Gog:
Ezekiel 38:4 And I will turn you back, and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed most perfectly, a great assembly with buckler and shield, all of them swordsmen;
“I will turn you back”. One cannot be turned back to a place one has never been. This is how we know where Gog came from. He had been in Israel as a descendant of Reuben as 1 Chronicles 5:4 testifies. The Israelite Gog of 1 Chronicles is the same Gog that Ezekiel would prophesy against somewhere around 150 years later.
“I will put “hooks into your jaws”. This is reference to what Gog and his family would have experienced going into exile with the rest of the Israelites. The Assyrians would put hooks in the jaws of captives or in the nose. These would become harnesses by which the captives were led. The hooks of YHVH will be much worse than simple metal hooks in the jaws.
What will be at least one of the hooks that YHVH will put into the jaws of Gog? The spoil. I will tell you what the spoil is in a bit.
Ezekiel 38:12 in order to take a spoil, and to steal a prize; to turn your hand on the inhabited waste places, and on the people gathered out of the nations, who have gotten cattle and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land.
Ezekiel 38:13 Sheba and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all their young lions, shall say to you, Have you come to take a spoil? Have you gathered your company to steal a prize, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?
“I will bring you out”. However it happens that Gog’s descendants are forced to return to the land of their birth after 2700 years, we can rest assured that it will be by YHVH’s will and in His timing.
“All of them clothed most perfectly”. “Miklol” (Strong’s H4358 translated “perfectly”) means they will be dressed “perfectly”, “gorgeously” and in “all sorts” of clothing. This phrase may make more sense this way: “With all sorts of clothing”. In other words, clothing of all different kinds but perfect for the task at hand. In fact, Gog’s army is now rehearsing in one of Gog’s ancient stomping grounds: Modern Ukraine, anciently part of Scythia.

While reliable numbers are hard to come by, it’s believed that thousands of foreign nationals have already rallied to the Ukrainians’ cause.
“Very rough figures put it at around 20,000. The majority of them are European and North American. There are 500 from Belarus and also some Japanese volunteers,” Ed Arnold, a research fellow for European Security at the Royal United Services Institute, a London-based think tank, told DW.
According to the Ukrainian Ground Forces, the volunteers came from the U.S., U.K., Sweden, Lithuania, Mexico, and India.
What kind of clothing is this composite army wearing now? “All sorts” – “miklol”. The uniforms are from all different countries because this is not a national army. It is a composite army of descendants of ancient Israel’s northern tribes joining with the descendants of Gog. They are doing this because they have Gog and ancient northern Israel mixed in their DNA.
India? Did some ancient Israelites migrate to India? They did! They arrived first in what is now Iran and Iraq and then continued their migrations into India.
As far as their background goes, it’s a mixed bag. Some of those signing up have little to no military experience.
“I’m seeing some of these groups and some of these guys are absolutely green,” Rekawek said.
Being “green” means “inexperienced” in battle. This inexperience could be a contributing factor for the Gog composite army getting destroyed in Israel. If this composite army moves into Israel to “guard” it as Ezekiel 38:7 instructs them, these men will not last in a battle with Iran and Russia, the Persians.
How could this army end up in Israel? Gog will go to Israel on the pretext of guarding Israel from Iran and Russia. YHVH says this army will be there for a spoil (Ezekiel 38:11-12).
This well-intentioned composite army of soldiers from all over the earth, dressed in their finest fighting gear, will fall into the trap of the US, Canadian, European and other governments. What trap is that? A secret conscription of their intention from the highest level of government.
The above nations all have a habit of using grass-roots uprisings for their own benefit by stirring the pot with propaganda. This causes even more people to join “the cause”. In the case of Gog’s composite army, the US, Canada, Europe, etc. will see their opportunity to grab something they no longer have without the need to send in actual military forces. What could that be? Oil and gas!
The Ukraine war will very quickly cause not only higher fuel prices but an actual shortage of fuel supplies. Biden was rejected by several countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Venezuela) last week for fuel purchases and he refuses to bring the Keystone Pipeline back online.
If the Western nations don’t do something, there will be an uprising of people against the governments. The Western nations don’t have the time or desire to deal with a genuine uprising (one not created from within their governments). They have a timeline to meet for the Great Reset. They have already been thwarted for 4 years under the Trump Presidency and are now behind in their goals. They will have to get oil and gas from somewhere else. But where? Israel! The Western nations will smile at Israel while they secretly urge Gog to guard Israel so they can get their hands on Israel’s oil and gas in return for the favor.
Why will Persia enter Israel at about the same time as the Gog army?
Iran is Israel’s enemy. Russia has been courting Israel in the last decade to swing Israel away from her US alliance because Russia wants the foothold that the US has in the Middle East. This is the foundation of the wars in the Middle East and now in Ukraine. It’s all about US hegemony in the world that Russia wants to put and end to globally and Iran wants to put and end to in the Middle East.
Iran’s 4+2 coalition (Iran, Iraq, Syria, Hezbollah are the 4. Russia and China are the 2) will one day make their move to destroy all of the Middle East nations who are in covenant/treaty with Israel and the US. Thus, this coalition is Daniel 11:40-45’s King of the North.
Ezekiel 38:4-5 say that Gog and Persia (Iran and its 4+2 coalition) as allies. That is the way the text reads because Persia comes into Israel to do battle with Gog. That is what the English translation reads. I believe it is a bad translation.
Several times in the Old Testament, the Alef Tav is translated “against” where invasion forces are concerned. I have created a document to show you some instances of the Alef Tav being translated “against”. Alef Tav sometimes is altered by adding a letter to it, but the Alef Tav root remains.
The Alef Tav is translated “against” in Ezekiel 38:22 when YHVH says He is “against” Gog and lists the many ways Gog will be punished.
A huge discrepancy is found in Ezekiel 38:5 and 22.

The context is YHVH’s battle against Gog. Alef Tav Vav, H854 in the KJV+ does not appear in the Interlinear. The Interlinear uses H853, “I will plead”. Then, the Alef Tav Vav is used again at the end of the verse and is translated “with” in the KJV+ and “against” in the Interlinear. This is an important discrepancy.
When the Syrians attacked Israel in 1 Kings 20:23, the Alef Tav was translated as “against”. When the mention of battling the Chaldeans is mentioned in Jeremiah 37:10, the Alef Tav was translated “against”.
As in Ezekiel 38:22, YHVH says in Jeremiah 21:5 that He will fight, Alef Tav, “against” the Jews.
These and other examples show that in battles from external invading forces “against” is the proper word.
But because Gog and Persia come into Israel both as invading forces, their entry can be viewed as coming in together as allies “with” each other. This is where we must have wisdom. Gog and Persia will come in for different reasons. They don’t come into Israel together for the same reason.
Gog is scattered through Asia Minor, Asia and Europe, particularly in Ukraine, Hungary, and Germany. Gog is also scattered all over the globe. His name appears in many nations but never in Russia.
Throughout the history of Europe, there have been continual migrations of those same people all the way to northern Europe, then to the US, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada even to India as I said earlier. And they have always remained separate from Russia and Persia. This fact is why I say that when Gog comes into Israel Persia will come into Israel at the same time or very close afterward and will be “against” both Gog and Israel.
This will be Persia’s chance to see their eschatological prophecy of rising back to being a world empire again. They will come in to do what the Edomites want: To kill all of the House of Jacob which will, at that time, be present in Israel. The descendants of all 12 tribes!
Why is Persia associated with Esau and his Edomite and Amalekite descendants? Because that is where King Agag’s descendant, Haman, was from. The Edomites are a heavy enough infiltration into Persia to provide a conscious and subconscious hatred of Jacob throughout Persian DNA.
SUMMARY
Let me summarize. I have given you a lot to chew on. The two bears who will maul Israel in the West are Russia and Iran. Ukraine is home to the tribes of Israel for almost 2700 years.
Gog is not Russia. Gog in the end of days is the descendants of the Reubenite Gog from 1 Chronicles 5:4 along with the Ephraimite nations in the West.
There will be a composite army all wearing different clothing that will be conscripted by the heads of these nations who will not want this opportunity to go into Israel to get the oil and gas as a spoil to go to waste. They will accomplish their goal of getting a spoil from Israel by sending covert CIA operations into this ragtag army to use them for this purpose. This army will be urged, without being ordered, to guard Israel from Russia and Iran, but what the leaders of the nations will really want is the fossil fuels from the Tamar and Leviathan fields along with any oil found in the Golan Heights where drilling has been ongoing for many years.
The fate of Gog is a lesson for all who, in the end of days, thinks he or she will escape on his own from suffering the punishment YHVH intends to give the whole House of Jacob, all 12 tribes.
ANOTHER REASON FOR GOG TO ENTER ISRAEL
And now, here is how Gog may begin to enter Israel. HEADLINE: Zelensky: Jerusalem is ‘constructive place’ to hold Russia-Ukraine talks.
Let me rewrite this for you: Zelensky (descendant of Gog): Jerusalem is constructive place to hold Persia-Gog talks.
How’s that for an end times headline? Oh yeah, that’s a great Idea! Let’s get Russia (ally of Iran/Persia) and the descendants of Gog, the Western nations, in Jerusalem together!
Even if Putin won’t go to Jerusalem for talks, the headline certainly is interesting!
This article says the US will now send arms and equipment to Ukraine. Gog’s army will have the finest in military weaponry. The White House has approved an additional $200 million in arms and equipment for Ukraine, administration officials said on Saturday. … The weapons come from existing U.S. military stockpiles in Europe and are flown to neighboring countries such as Poland and Romania, where they are shipped overland into western Ukraine.
Russia has so far not attacked these shipments because its forces have been too busy fighting in other parts of Ukraine, Pentagon officials said. But on Saturday, according to the Interfax news agency, Russia’s deputy foreign minister, Sergei A. Ryabkov, warned that Moscow would start firing on such shipments, stirring fears of an escalation to the conflict.
This conflict may continue or it may take a break and continue later. The players and situations described in 2 Kings 2 and Ezekiel 38 are now coming clearer. The two bears of 2 Kings 2 and the Gog-Magog war are connected. We must watch and pray. The Gog-Magog war is one of the major markers heralding Yeshua’s return. What is happening in Ukraine may be the precursor for it. It behooves us to understand what is going on especially now that it looks as if the two bears could be starting to maul YHVH’s children!
