Political maneuvering has never been done so well at the United Nations Security Council as it was Friday, September 23, 2016. After Egypt was talked into postponing its anti-Israel resolution on the West Bank settlements by President-elect Donald Trump, the dastardly resolution was snatched from the jaws of defeat by Malaysia, New Zealand, Senegal and Venezuela who managed to force the vote. It was exactly the opportunity Obama needed to send a parting shot across Israel’s bow, as Hanukkah drew near, by abstaining which allowed the resolution to pass.
The result of the resolution is as follows:
…The Council reiterated its demand that Israel “immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, and that it fully respect all of its legal obligations in this regard. The resolution called for immediate steps to prevent all acts of violence against civilians, including acts of terror, as well as all acts of provocation and destruction, and for accountability in that regard, as well as for both parties to act on the basis of international law, including international humanitarian law, and previous agreements and obligations, ,to observe calm and restraint, and to refrain from provocative actions, incitement and inflammatory rhetoric’.”
Bible prophecy watchers have expected Obama and the UN to one day satisfy their hatred of Israel in this way. No one believed Obama would leave office without some kind of despicable and cowardly act of vehemence and loathing for Israel. The significance of this vote is more than merely destructive to Israel and it is no coincidence that the vote came very near a time that the prophet Haggai spoke about.
Haggai 2:18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD’S temple was laid, consider it.
Haggai 2:19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.
Haggai 2:20 And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,
Haggai 2:21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;
Haggai 2:22 And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.
Haggai 2:23 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.
The 24th day of the 9th month on the Hebrew calendar is the day before Hanukkah, the Feast of Dedication. The UN’s anti-Israel vote came late in the day on the 23rd day of the 9th month. YHVH did not allow the vote to happen on the 24th day of the 9th month, but very close to it – on the 23rd day of the 9th month – so that we should see He is sending an unmistakable warning about how close the earth is to the time of the Great Tribulation and His return.
Haggai prophesied regarding two of the particular times that we should watch for from year to year. The first is the last day of Sukkot:
Haggai 2:1 In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying…
Haggai 2:6 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
Haggai 2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
The two Feasts of Sukkot and Hanukkah, along with their specific events listed in Haggai, have to do with the rebuilding of the Temple. This UN Security Council vote may have moved the world one step closer to the rebuilding of YHVH’s Altar, if not the actual Temple. YHVH always works in patterns so that we can recognize what He is doing. That is why we can expect the pattern of the Altar to happen again. The timing of the rebuilding and dedication of the Altar will be like it was during the time of Ezra, during constant conflict. The Altar will be built during a time of war on the 1st day of the 7th month.
Ezra 3:1 And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.
Ezra 3:2 Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.
Ezra 3:3 And they set the altar upon his bases; for fear was upon them because of the people of those countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD, even burnt offerings morning and evening.
Ezra 3:6 From the first day of the seventh month began they to offer burnt offerings unto the LORD. But the foundation of the temple of the LORD was not yet laid.
The Temple’s foundation stone will be laid during a time of war on the 24th day of the 9th month.
Nehemia 4:16 And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons; and the rulers were behind all the house of Judah.
Nehemia 4:17 They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.
Donald Trump’s pro-Israel stance is lauded as a positive outcome for Israel. Few realize that it will lead to increased war. If Trump is the “Cyrus” of our time, we will see the Jews rebuild and dedicate the Altar during a time of conflict.
The UN Security Council vote was simply another step in the direction of causing Tribulation instigated by Obama who I believe is the Satanic equivalent of Elijah. He just used this vote to “prepare the way” for the coming Antichrist who will desolate the Altar that will be built. Believers in both Houses, Judah and, particularly, Israel, should watch for certain dates in YHVH’s timeline from year to year because the next time a major event happens it might happen ON the 24th day of the 9th month. In that case, it will trigger the Great Tribulation for the next Purim and Passover.
