People have tried for millennia to identify Gog, of the Gog-Magog war, in Ezekiel 38 and 39. The most common teaching is that Russia is Gog. I believe Gog is Germany, and by extension Europe, using NATO forces. Some Rabbis believe Gog is the United States as stated in The Bush Scroll.
The Bush Scroll calls George W. Bush “the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal (Ezekiel 38:1), leader of the west!”.

It seems some authoritative Rabbis in Israel have deduced that Gog will be led by the United States, but it won’t be George W. Bush leading the army against Israel. He is now out of office.
Barack Obama, who succeeded Bush, was also called “Gog”. Nathan, a 15-year-old boy in Jerusalem, who was interviewed by some Rabbis, made a huge splash among those watching for prophetic events. He had a near-death experience in which he claims he went to heaven for 15 minutes where he was shown prophetic details about the end of days. Nathan claimed he knew exactly who Gog was and that Gog was Barack Obama.

Gog will invade Israel under the auspices of GUARDING Israel from the King of the North coalition and will likely do it looking as if it is necessary and a “peace-keeping” measure.
Do you remember when Reuben wanted to settle east of the Jordan river in Numbers 32? The other tribes were afraid the Reubenites would cease helping them conquer the land. Here we see Reuben’s descendant, Gog, coming back into Israel as if he is coming to fight for Israel just as in those days of old.
Ezekiel 38:21 has new meaning now.
Eze 38:21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.
Every man’s sword against his brother may mean that the Jews will be fighting Gog. In fact, the Jews will likely be fighting both Gog and the King of the North simultaneously. This battle will be a mess for the Jews! Gog literally is a “brother” to the Jews because he is from the tribe of Reuben.
I have assumed that Gog will attack the mountains of Israel because of the Palestinian conflict. But it may be that Gog will be a military occupation to protect Israel from the King of the North. This will be only a guise because what Gog is really after is the oil and gas in Israel after having lost the war in Syria.
I used to think Iran would join the Gog coalition in its attack, but now I see the Gog-Magog war and the invasion by the King of the North as two separate armies in conflict with each other on Israeli soil! In other words, they bring the war on Syria right on over to Israel!
Ezekiel 38 says Gog will cover the land like a cloud.
Eze 38:15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
Eze 38:16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
The Gog surname is common in Germany. Historians say Gog moved from Israel to the south side of the Black Sea where Turkey is today. Then, Gog’s people migrated around to the north side of the Black Sea, later continuing their migration further north.
YHVH said he will turn Gog back.

To turn someone back means to make him “return”. A “returning” person is coming back to his place of origin. In this case, Gog is returning to Israel as a conqueror with the idea of taking Judah’s natural resources and even his birthright from him to get it back for Reuben. In other words, this is a birthright war.
President Donald Trump is of German descent. He may be a direct descendant of Gog who is Reuben’s descendant (see 1 Chron 5:4).
President Trump recently sent an aircraft carrier with the George Bush name to dock in Haifa. The aircraft carrier was the USS George H.W. Bush, named after George W. Bush’s father. Trump sent a ship with the family name of the man the Rabbis believed was Gog in the flesh! The USS George H.W. Bush is still in the Mediterranean off the coast of Israel. See, Gog has sneaked a military force into Israel again. There will be more to come.
In fact, the United States placed troops in Israel during Obama’s tenure in the White House. Last December 2016, it was announced that the United States will establish a military base in Israel.
Can you see Gog coming yet? Can you see how Gog is implying that he is there to “guard” Israel?
The Germans are trying to get Israel to purchase their submarines, but the most recent deal has caused a scandal all the way up to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.
These are two of the latest examples of Gog sneaking his way back into Israel in his attempt to separate Israel’s natural resources from the Jews and the sceptre, given to Judah by Jacob, from them, as well.
It is possible that the Gog-Magog war will weaken the United States and Europe to the point that they cannot retaliate against an invasion on their soils.

The United States and Russia are fighting over Damascus. The destruction of Damascus will have severe repercussions. The King of the North – the 4+1 coalition – will seek to conquer Israel because of it. Even though Damascus will have been destroyed, Iran and Russia will have gained control of Syria’s oil and gas distribution pipelines.
They will turn their attention to Saudi Arabia, not just for the oil and gas there, but also for the purpose of the Iranian Shi’ites settling the 1400-year-old question of Mohammed’s succession and which sect will gain the coming Caliphate.
The King of the North, 4+1 coalition, will overrun both Israel and Jordan. They will sweep through Jordan on their way to Saudi Arabia, conquering Amman and everything north of Amman, as they move toward Mecca and Medina.
The coalition will sweep into Israel to make war with Gog so Iran and Russia can control the oil and gas in Israel. This is the “spoil” spoken of in Ezekiel 38 that Gog wants.
YHVH will punish Gog for bringing the King of the North into Israel, causing Israel to become a battleground.
Right now, the United States is using Israel as a helper and shield in the Middle East. None other than the one the Rabbis call “Cyrus” is doing this. President Donald Drumpf is not setting Israel up to help them, but to destroy them.
Rabbis continue to call on President Donald Trump to restore the Temple, but it turns out that Trump is drawing Israel deeper into the New World Order’s oil conflict instead. “Cyrus Trump” is looking more and more like Gog every day.
