President Donald Trump has endangered both Jordan and Israel in his latest ceasefire deal with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin. Trump acted on his own without consulting his Pentagon staff in this matter just as he did on the Al-Sharat airfield on April 6, 2017. After that attack, the Pentagon stated they had no idea Trump planned the attack.
The Atlantic.com website reported this week that the Pentagon had been, once again, left out of the loop regarding Trump’s plan to hand over Daraa and Quneitra.
With this latest deal, Trump has inadvertently opened the way for the King of the North to attack Israel and Jordan in exactly the way that that the Bible predicts.
Russian troops entered southern Syria for the first time on Wednesday, July 13, when they occupied the town of Daraa to start enforcing the partial ceasefire agreed to by Trump and Putin in Hamburg on July 7.
Daraa is a small city about 12 km from the Jordan border with a very big military importance. One of the highways running through Daraa is the ancient Biblical King’s Highway. This particular section of the King’s Highway leads directly from Daraa to the Jordan border. While scripture does not specify how the King of the North will attack Jordan, I believe it is prophetically significant that the much disputed King’s Highway is once again back in play, albeit a more northern section than was fought over before.
The King’s Highway was a strategic route from before the Exodus of the Israelites. It is referred to as ‘Derech HaMelech’ in the books of Numbers and Deuteronomy (Numbers 20:17, 21:22, Deut 2:27), where it is related that the Israelites needed to use the road that, in part of its southern section, passes through Edomite territory in what is now southern Jordan. The Edomite king refused them passage.
The same request was made to King Sihon in Deut 2. He refused, and the Israelites went to battle against him and won, opening the territory for occupation by the tribes of Reuben, Gad and Manasseh.
The King’s Highway still exists and is used in modern times. In ancient times, it ran from Damascus to the Gulf of Aqabah where it forked into a route that crossed the Sinai into Egypt and a route that ran along the eastern coast of the Red Sea into what is now Saudi Arabia. It is likely that this section of the highway was used by the Israelites on their way to Mount Sinai.
Many of the wars fought by the Israelites, including the final war of the Jews against the Edomites, were probably fought, at least in part, over control of the Highway.
This highway was a crucial part of the silk road trade between the Chinese and Nabateans, the descendants of Ishmael’s son, Nebaioth, who built Petra.
Today, the King’s Highway is still a strategic, and prophetically significant, road that runs through Syria and into Jordan through the town of Daraa. Thus, Daraa is a prophetically strategic town in southern Syria that President Donald Trump just handed over to Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
From an article on Forward.com, I quote: “This development is a result of the United States allowing its proxy, the Free Syrian Army, to repeatedly violate ceasefire agreements. Trump’s and Putin’s agreement appears, on the face of it, to be a solution to end the Syrian war and prevent stray shells and bullets from straying into the Israel’s Golan Heights. But there is far more to this ceasefire than a mere cessation of hostilities next door. By augmenting Russia’s capacity to affect Israel’s strategic interests, it could have far-reaching consequences. While the U.S. is a party to the ceasefire agreement, it will not be involved in policing it.”
This untenable situation lends itself to the interpretation I recently proposed that the United States is Gog, according to the Rabbis, or the leader of Gog and that it will be United States and NATO forces that will enter Israel to be a guard for Israel. I believe the U.S., i.e. Donald Trump, could awaken to the fact that he made a horrible mistake, one that he will try to correct by leading the forces of Gog into an occupation of Israel.
It may seem to be a wild jump from not having a part in policing the recent Syrian ceasefire all the way to the Gog-Magog war, but I ask you to continue listening to my proposal.
I recently said that I had a new insight about Gog’s pretension for entering the land of Israel to occupy the West Bank. Where once I thought Gog would use the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as its sole reason for its occupation of Israel, I now believe it will have more to do with the King of the North than the Palestinians. However, it would not surprise me if the issue of Temple Mount came into play.
Ezekiel 38, verse 7, gives us a clue about Gog’s pretenses toward Israel:
Ezekiel 38:7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
In my most recent insight, Gog will guard Israel, at first, before turning on them. The pretense will be something other than the real reason which will be to get the spoil, the natural gas and oil and everything else that is Israel’s.
It is possible that the pretense, the excuse, for guarding Israel is because the U.S. is not involved in maintaining peace along Israel’s border. The U.S. will have no say at all in what Russia does on the Golan border. The United States may appear in the future to be coming to Israel’s rescue by invading it.
Trump could awaken to the big mistake he made and realize that the only way the U.S. can maintain its interests in the Middle East is to enter Israel under the ploy of “guarding” the Jews from the encroachment of Russia and Iran.
Thus, the United States and NATO will enter Israel to guard it.
Israel and Russia are not allies. They are not even friends. They are just continuing their long-term standoff by acting “friendly” toward each other. “These two countries have not been so geographically close to each other since the Israel-Egypt War of Attrition across the Suez Canal in 1970. At that time, Israel faced off against hostile Soviet Air Force and Air Defense divisions, and Israeli Phantom and Mirage combat aircraft shot down five Soviet MiGs.”
“Now, Russia, with its boots on the ground in Syria, and its involvement in complex local negotiations, is not only a fixture of the Arab Middle East and the eastern Mediterranean basin, it is also a neighborhood fighting force along the Israel and Jordan borders.”
“Washington is leaving the western part of Syria — the urban, non-desert part — to Russia, Iran and of course the Assad regime.” These, along with Iran’s allies, Iraq and Hezbollah, form the 4+1 coalition that is the prophesied King of the North.
Why is the 4+1 coalition the King of the North Army, not the Gog army?
It is because this coalition is a direct threat to Jerusalem. Iran has openly blustered about its intentions to destroy the Jews. Gog has never made such claims. Gog is an indirect threat.
The first King of the North was ancient Persia. The next two are Greek. Daniel 11, up to verse 39, details the wars between the Greek Generals to gain control of all the territory left to the four of them by Alexander the Great. Dan 11:40-45 posits a final battle with no known historical sequence corresponding to that which is laid out in the previous verses. Many interpreters of Daniel consider this section to contain a reference to a much more distant future from Daniel’s time, likely a future that has now arrived.
Whereas Daniel 11 begins with the current King being of Persian origin, the next 2 Kings of the North being Greek, we now must decide if the 4th King of the North will be Persian or Greek. It is unlikely that God will break the pattern of using either a Persian or Greek empire to raid Israel in the end of days.
At the moment, Greece is not even a player in this scenario. The most that can be said about Greece becoming the end time King of the North is that Greece would have to rise from the ashes to become a world super power again. The likelihood of that happening is remote to almost impossible.
That is still not enough evidence, however, that the 4+1 coalition is the end time King of the North. Perhaps if we define who Gog is, we will get settled on who the King of the North is.
WHO IS GOG?
Gog and the King of the North should not be confused as being the same entity. They are not. There are similarities, but historically, Gog is a different entity from either the Persian or Greek Kings of the North. Why?
It is because Gog is an Israelite. He was a descendant of the tribe of Reuben.
Listing the living descendants of Reuben in 1 Chron 5:3-6, we read:
1 Chronicles 5:3 The sons, I say, of Reuben the firstborn of Israel were, Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
These are the original sons of Reuben from Genesis. Now, we will be given the ruling Reubenites at the time that 1 Chronicles is being written, during the time of the Kings of Judah:
1 Chronicles 5:4 The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
1 Chronicles 5:5 Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
1 Chronicles 5:6 Beerah his son, whom Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.
Gog is a descendant of Reuben who lived at the time of the writing of 1 Chronicles. The Persian and Greek kings are descendants of Esau. There is no time for me to expound the history of the four empires of Daniel and how each one was ruled by a descendant of Esau in the Edomites’ quest to conquer Jacob.
The Great Tribulation is the culmination of Esau’s war with Jacob to retrieve the birthright and blessing lost by Esau. So, it makes sense that a descendant of Esau will help trigger the Great Tribulation.
Furthermore, historical references abound from the centuries before and after Yeshua’s earthly walk that plainly tell us that Gog moved to the land of Magog, which is now Turkey. After that, the tribe of Gog moved to the north side of the Black Sea where they became known first as Scythians, then later Scandinavians. Their next migration was into Germany who now heads the European Union and controls NATO. But who controls the European Union and NATO? The United States!
Doing a Google search of “Gog surname Russia”, we find that the Gog name is missing in Russia. The name ‘Gog’ is even struck through on the results of Russian surnames.
Doing a Google search of “Gog surname Germany”, 129,000 results are shown starting with the Gog Genealogy and Family Tree page. The Gog family name in Germany is almost like ‘Smith’ or ‘Jones’ in America. Gog has been hiding in plain sight.
Germans are proud of the Gog name, too. They use it as an acronym for ‘Good old Germany’, ‘German Open Gaming’. Allacronyms.com lists the ‘Gog’ acronym as “Government of Germany”.
I’m not sure how much more information people need to understand that Gog is an Israelite who fled Israel just prior to the Assyrian captivity of the northern ten tribes. I know this, though, YHVH will “turn him back” as it says in Ezekiel 38:4.
GOG AND THE KING OF THE NORTH’S DIFFERENT PURPOSES
Another way to differentiate between Gog and the King of the North is to recognize that they have different purposes. Gog will enter Israel on the auspices of being a guard, according to Ezekiel 38:7. This can be read to mean Gog will guard the troops he brings with him or that he will guard Israel from something. The first option is the mainstream interpretation. The latter interpretation makes more sense, especially since armies don’t usually need a guard, but Israel will. This may be because Gog, President Trump, will suddenly understand the mistake he made and will feel the need to guard Israel from the ancient Persians, Russia and Iran, that are now camped on Israel’s border.
Gog’s ultimate purpose is to take the spoil and a prey, according to Ezekiel 38:12. Gog, who is a member of one of the lost Ephraimite tribes – the tribe of Reuben, will need Israel’s resources because he will have been weakened by his war with Damascus as the scripture says in Isaiah 17:1-3.
The King of the North’s purpose is not merely to conquer Israel, but to establish the Islamic Caliphate for the Shi’ites. This is something that the ‘Gog’ entity has no interest in.
The 4+1 Middle East coalition nations of Iran, Iraq, Syria and Hezbollah are all majority Shi’ite nations. Russia, their ally and backer, is the secular part of this grouping. The four Shi’ite nations are descendants of Esau. They are the end time “red”, religious Edomites bent on ruling the world from Jerusalem. Russia is their secular, “red” counterpart.
As part of their war, they will take Israel under control again. The greater agenda and major focus of the King of the North’s war is to take away Saudi Arabia’s leadership in the Muslim world. Israel’s and Jordan’s capture will be just icing on the coalition’s cake.
Saudi Arabia is the site of two of Islam’s holy places: Mecca and Medina. All but three of the historic Islamic Caliphates were Sunni. The three that were Shi’ite were eventually surrendered to the Sunnis. Thus, by hook or by crook, the Caliphates have historically always been Sunni, but this is about to change.
The white horse and its kingly rider with the crown in Revelation 6 is the same entity as the King of the North. He will be given a crown by YHVH so that he can go forth ‘conquering and to conquer’.
Conquering means that he will overrun, or overflow, many nations as it says in Daniel 11: 40 that prophesies about the King of the North. The phrase “to conquer” indicates there is a separate purpose from merely conquering the many nations. What is that purpose? To finally settle the 1400-year-old Shi’ite and Sunni conflict over Mohammed’s succession.
Gog and the King of the North will fight each other within the borders of modern Israel. YHVH will blame Gog for sneaking into Israel under the guise of being a guard to defend Israel that results in turning Israel into a bloody battleground. Ezekiel 38 and 39 describe the destruction and YHVH’s punishment of Gog for being such an evil Israelite!
TRUMP CONTINUING IN OBAMA’S NEW WORLD ORDER STEPS
More from Forward.com: “The Trump administration is following the Obama pattern of reducing involvement in Middle East military conflict to a greater extent than it may like to admit.
This, too, is significant for Israel. While President Trump can be depended on to side with Israel against Iran, it is Moscow that Israel will have to address if under the new ceasefire arrangements Iranian or Iranian-proxy forces in Syria approach the border with Israel. Russia and Iran are allies in Syria; Russia and Israel most decidedly are not allies, however much Putin is reputed to admire Israel’s security and technological skills.
The Syria agreement reportedly prohibits entry of non-Syrians to the ceasefire zone. And it brings Jordan and Israel more closely than ever into strategic coordination regarding Syria. That means a relatively united front against violations.
And violations there will be. After all, every ceasefire achieved in Syria over the past six years has collapsed. This one too is likely to be short-lived. Not only are resurgent forces loyal to Assad spoiling to reassert their sovereignty in the country’s southwest. There are also around 50 diverse and conflicted militias there, some more militant and more Islamist than others.”
RUSSIAN TROOPS IN QUNEITRA
From Debka.com: Russian army units are preparing to move into the Syrian town of Quneitra in the coming days to take up positions opposite the Syrian-Israeli Golan border. Their function is to police the second zone of southwestern Syria designated for ceasefire by Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin when they met in Hamburg on July 7.
Quneitra is just 5km from Israel’s border and the line of IDF positions defending it.
Israel has notified Washington and Moscow that it is flatly opposed to the presence of a Russian unit on its border. However, the US and Russian officers coordinating the ceasefire’s implementation agreed to recommend going forward with the Russian deployment. The White House and the Kremlin gave the officers’ recommendation the green light, virtually imposing it on Israel against its will.
Their argument is that the first ceasefire zone that was established last week in the Daraa front on the Jordanian border will quickly break down if it is not shored up by a second zone at Quneitra.
But the two zones differ in major respects, according to military and intelligence sources.
The understandings drawn up for Daraa between the US, Russia and Jordan, included a clause explicitly providing for the withdrawal of Iranian and pro-Iranian forces, including Hizballah, to a point 40km west or north of the demilitarized town.
This clause never stood up for one moment. As DEBKAfile first disclosed on July 16, even after Russian and Chechen troops moved into Daraa on Sunday, Syrian and Iranian forces did move out, but an elite Hizballah unit remained. The US, Russia and Jordan decided collectively to let this breach of the ceasefire deal go without response and tried to keep it dark.
While acting to procure Jordan’s acceptance for the new format, the two powers refrained from turning to Jerusalem. They knew they would be greeted with a flat rejection, because of an earlier lapse. The clause providing for a 40km withdrawal of Iranian and pro-Iranian troops from Daraa was left out of the deal for Quneitra – heedless of urgent Israeli demands for its inclusion.
The absence of any Trump-Putin commitment on this score leaves Israel fully exposed to the presence of Iranian and Hizballah forces within mortar range of its Golan border in an area supervised by their [‘not’] ally, the Russian military.
It was this danger that galvanized Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu into broadcasting Israel’s total opposition to the Trump-Putin ceasefire for southwestern Syria during his visit to Paris on Monday, July 17, after his talks with President Emmanuel Macron.
In an apparent bid to calm Israel’s concerns, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made an usual statement for a Russian diplomat: “I can guarantee that we have done everything and the US side has done everything to ensure that Israel’s security interests within this framework are fully taken into account,” he said later on Monday.
Careful perusal of this comment revealed to our sources that it was made in the context of a previous ceasefire accord that the Russians had made for Turkey and Iran “co-sponsors.” Instead of reassurance, his comment was taken in Israel as a bid to ascertain that the arrival of Russian troops in Quneitra over Israel’s strenuous objections would go smoothly.
Technically, Israel is not bound by the ceasefire. It would prefer a quiet Syrian border where a ceasefire is enforced by others. This is because Israel does not want to be in Syria. In recent months, the Israel Defense Forces have reached understandings with the more moderate anti-Assad forces across the border. Israel resupplies them and they in turn keep the Sunni extremists and the Shiite Iranian proxies away. But the IDF has taken pains not to establish a presence of its own on the Syrian Golan, lest they witness a repeat of Israel’s disastrous 18-year occupation of southern Lebanon, which ended in 2000. In this regard, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the IDF have thus far managed Israel’s affairs in and around revolutionary Syria with admirable caution.
The most negative scenario Israeli strategic thinkers have conjured up for the Golan front involves an end to the Syrian civil war that places significant battle-tested Iranian and Hezbollah forces on Israel’s two northern fronts: the Golan and Lebanon. Iran is determined to control — directly or through proxies — territories in Iraq and Syria that provide it a corridor all the way from Tehran to Baghdad and Damascus to southern Lebanon and the Mediterranean. In doing so, it seeks not only to extend its strategic hegemony in the Levant. It also wants to pose a genuine military threat to Israel.
The Russian deployment was the first step in their posting troops along Syria’s Israeli and Jordanian borders, as was agreed between Washington and Moscow. President Trump had assented to this arrangement to bolster the first stage of the Syrian ceasefire going into effect in the de-confliction zone of the southwest.”
If the occupation of Daraa and Quneitra was only performed by Russia, the notion that the occupation pointed to a coming assault by the King of the North would be suspect. Russia by itself is not the King of the North, but Russia, Iran and the other 4+1 coalition allies IS the King of the North. And the King of the North is set to ride its white Revelation horse whenever it pleases, whether that be now or ten years from now.
There is a principle in the art of war: An area once occupied shall remain occupied. Donald Trump just made it easy for the King of the North coalition to enter Jordan unabated through Daraa which is only about 12 kilomoters from that border, and Israel can be attacked via Quneitra which is only 5 kilometers from that border.
So when the Russians, including military police and Chechen paratroopers, were sighted getting out of the vehicles of their convoy and taking up positions in the center of Daraa, it was understood that this occupation would likely be permanent. And Israel also understands that permanency of the Quneitra occupation.
HOW THIS WAR MAY HAPPEN
JORDAN
Little does Donald Trump realize that his most recent move was orchestrated by YHVH in a way that is unmistakably prophetic by involving the ancient King’s Highway. The prophetic aspect of this could have been missed but for understanding all the ancient and modern struggles associated with this very highway, one section of which Donald Trump just handed to Russia and Iran so they can invade Jordan.
From Daraa, I believe it is possible that the Persians – Russia, Iran and their 4+1 coalition – will cross into Jordan using the King’s Highway. On the map, that is Route 35. Route 15 is also the King’s Highway.
There will probably also be airstrikes by Russia to open the way for the coalition troops.
The coalition will bust right through the border crossing into Jordan and hurry to Amman. Amman will fall. Jordanian and U.S. jets and ground troops will be mustered, but it will be too late. Jordan’s and the U.S. fighting power in this area is very limited and will easily be overwhelmed by the coalition.
The coalition must take Amman to prevent the Jordanians, the United States and even Israel, from protecting their Arab ally, Saudi Arabia. In fact, this is one huge strategic reason Israel will be attacked at the same time the coalition is attacking Jordan. The attack on Israel will keep the Israelis busy while the coalition takes Jordan and moves on to Saudi Arabia.
We know Jordan will be attacked by the King of the North because the Book of Daniel says the Chief of the children of Amman will escape. Amman is the capital of Jordan. It will be attacked in order for the Royal family to escape.
The ancient areas of Moab and Edom will escape, as well.
Daniel 11:41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. There is no reason to escape if the country is not under attack.
After the coalition conquers Amman, their attention will turn to Saudi Arabia and to the conquest of Mecca and Medina so that the Shi’ites can establish their Caliphate. The Shi’ite coalition must conquer the Sunnis. This is why the crown is given to the Shi’ites by YHVH even before the white horse of Revelation 6 rides.
Looking at the possible movements of the Russian and Iranian coalition armies, it can be seen how southern Jordan will become the place that the woman of Revelation 12 flees to. Southern Jordan will become the only place on earth that is safe for her.
ISRAEL
Israel will be attacked, I believe, soon after Gog, Donald Trump – if he is indeed ‘Gog’, realizes his mistake in letting Russia and Iran occupy Daraa and Quneitra.
FIRING THE FREE SYRIAN ARMY
President Donald Trump has ended the CIA’s covert program to train and equip Syria’s rebels, according to a report released on Wednesday.
Trump made the decision almost a month ago. Trump’s decision reflects his desire to smooth relations with Russia that has taken issue with the program whose aim is to combat the Syrian forces of the of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
“The shuttering of the program is also an acknowledgment of Washington’s limited leverage and desire to remove Assad from power,” according to the report.
The CIA program will likely be phased out “over a period of months”. The decision has the support of key U.S. ally, Jordan, that has hosted training sites for the Syrian rebels.
Still, eliminating the program is not without its risks.
One big potential risk of shutting down the CIA program is that the United States may lose its ability to block other countries, such as Turkey and Persian Gulf allies, from funneling more sophisticated weapons — including man-portable air-defense systems, or MANPADS — to anti-Assad rebels”.
Trump’s decision to end the program will not alter the Pentagon’s efforts to support the Syrian Democratic Forces as it continues an offensive on Daesh’s Syrian capital of Raqqa. U.S. support for the SDF has angered Ankara due to the prominent role of the PKK/PYD in the multi-ethnic coalition.
Turkey views the groups as the Syrian extension of the outlawed PKK that is a designated terror group in Turkey, the U.S. and the EU.
TURKEY’S INVOLVEMENT
Turkey may have a role to play in weakening Isaiah 17’s Ephraimite military forces. That nation has now deliberately sabotaged and endangered U.S. forces in northern Syria.
According to TheDailyBeast, “In the latest display of Turkish anger at U.S. policy in Syria, the state news agency has divulged the locations of 10 U.S. military bases and outposts in northern Syria where the U.S. is leading an operation to destroy the so-called Islamic State in its self-styled capital of Raqqa.
The list published by the Anadolu news agency points to a U.S. presence from one end to the other of the Kurdish self-administration region—a distance of more than 200 miles. The Anadolu news agency even listed the number of U.S. troops in several locations and in two instances stipulated the presence of French special forces.
Turkey has openly criticized the Trump administration—and the Obama administration before it—for relying in the battle against ISIS on a militia led by Kurds affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers Party or PKK. A separatist movement now at war with Turkey, the PKK has been listed by the U.S., EU, and Turkey as a terror organization.
To avoid the appearance of allying with such a group, the U.S. military set up the Syrian Democratic Forces, which have a large component of Arab recruits. But they are led by officers from the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the Syrian affiliate of the PKK.
Although Turkey’s powerful president, Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, regularly vents his anger at the U.S., it is still highly unusual for a NATO ally to reveal details of a U.S. military deployment during active operations in a war zone. But the U.S. operation in Syria is in many respects an unusual case. Not only is the United States acting against the express wishes of NATO ally Turkey, which says its national security is directly endangered, it’s also operating without the permission of the Assad regime.
After a meeting Monday evening, Turkey’s National Security Council charged that weapons provided to the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia had come into the possession of the PKK. “This shows that both are the same organization,” it said, adding that other countries were using a “double standard” for terror groups, an apparent reference to the U.S. alliance with the YPG militia.
The U.S. has denied repeatedly that arms it is supplying to the Kurdish fighters have seeped into the PKK war against the Turkish state, and the Turkish government did not back up its allegations with evidence.”
Yet for all this anger, Turkey has the hutzpah to still ask for entry into the European Union!
According to the NorthAfricaPost.com, “The 36th Turkey-EU Joint Consultative Committee kicked-off in Brussels on Tuesday with Ankara pressing for a full membership to the European body despite EU member states’ harsh criticism of its human rights record and political openness.
Turkey’s European Union Affairs Minister Omer Celik urged the EU to “support Turkey during this difficult period in the region by understanding the reasons for the fight against terrorism, by providing visa liberalization and especially by accelerating the accession process.”
Negotiations have been ongoing for 12 years but reached their lowest point in 2007 over the disputed Cyprus territory that is under Turkish control.”
Ezekiel 38 and 39 do not explicitly state that Magog will be involved in the Gog-Magog war. The scriptures only mention that Gog is FROM the land of Magog. However, that does not preclude Turkey, ancient Magog, from being part of the Gog invasion of Israel either just prior to or just after the invasion by the King of the North.
Whether or not these Biblical wars happen in the way I describe here is not the point. The point is that a huge step toward both wars has been made, and it was made by the President of the United States. YHVH is moving His chess pieces.
WILL TEMPLE MOUNT TENSIONS TRIGGER GOG’S MILITARY OCCUPATION?
The White House is “very concerned” over tensions surrounding Jerusalem’s Temple Mount complex, it said in a statement late Wednesday, urging Israel and Jordan to restore calm to the area after days of violent clashes.
Muslim worshipers have been protesting Israel’s decision to install metal detectors and other security measures at entrances to the holy site in the wake of a deadly terror attack near there on Friday, saying the move breaks the delicate status quo agreement between Jerusalem and Amman.
“The United States is very concerned about tensions surrounding the Temple Mount/Haram Al-Sharif, a site holy to Jews, Muslims, and Christians, and calls upon the State of Israel and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to make a good faith effort to reduce tensions and to find a solution that assures public safety and the security of the site and maintains the status quo,” the White House press office said in a brief statement.
It added that Washington would “continue to closely monitor the developments.”
If the Rabbis are right that the President of the United States will turn out to be ‘Gog’, tensions with the Palestinians, as well as the threat from the 4+1 coalition, could trigger the decision to invade Israel, especially if both threats happen simultaneously.

A series of powerful quakes rocked Russia (M7.7, M6.2) and Peru (M6.4).
It all started on July 17, 2017 as a M6.2 earthquake hit 183km ESE of Nikol’skoye, Russia at 11:05 am (UTC). This earthquake marked the beginning of an earthquake swarm comprising at least 15 quakes between M4.4 and M7.7 in the region.
Then, a bit more than 12 hours later, 11:30 pm, a M7.7 earthquake hit the same area of Russia – 198km ESE of Nikol’skoye, Russia. The earthquake was very shallow – only 10 km below the seabed. The US Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre initially warned hazardous tsunami waves were possible for coasts within 300 km of epicentre.
A wildfire that has forced thousands of Californians to flee their homes exploded in size on Wednesday, threatening a picturesque gold rush town outside Yosemite National Park as dozens of blazes scorched the U.S. West.
More than 2,000 firefighters have contained just 7 percent of the Detwiler Fire, which is approaching the town of Mariposa and tiny communities in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Cal Fire state agency said on its website.
The blaze has mushroomed to 48,000 acres (19,424 hectares), an increase of about 23,000 acres (9,307 hectares) compared with the day before. The fire has destroyed 29 structures and is threatening some 1,500 more structures, local media reported.
Firefighters are facing “extreme and aggressive fire behavior” with solid walls of flame and sparks from the main blaze setting spot fires in grasslands, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) said.
Flames have destroyed eight structures southwest of Yosemite National Park and the fire is threatening power lines to the park, but no one has been injured, Cal Fire said.
The small communities of Coulterville and Greeley Hill were ordered evacuated on Wednesday.
Mariposa’s 2,000 residents were told to leave town on Tuesday after its power and water links were damaged. In total, nearly 5,000 people are under orders to vacate their homes, officials said.
About 32,000 British Columbians have now been displaced as one of the worst wildfire seasons in B.C.’s history continues.
B.C. remains under a state of emergency as 155 wildfires continue to burn across the province. Fifteen of those fires are threatening communities.
